There has been a slight decrease in monthly expenses due to the fountain cutback. Sue received additional surveys over the summer. Jim will review and include them in his summary for the newsletter.

A RV has been reported in driveway (1747 Seneca) and a tent with construction supplies in a backyard(684 Olean). Ray will send a letter and update next meeting

Beautification: Chris reduced wattage on the lights and will look at breaker replacement. The storm blew the flag at N entrance off. Tom bolted the flag back in place. Wally tried to replace bulb at the N entrance sign. The light is not working. It may be an electrical issue and he will report back to board. The S end is working fine. Contacted WS Public Works about road areas that are sunken, one being between Keuka Ct. and Canadice. Someone suggested contacting Brian Fields if necessary to get some action. John Holmes, who does landscaping, is implementing plans to reduce the flower planting to 3 instead of 4 next year to reduce the cost of landscaping. The plan is to plant “long lasting” begonias in late winter that will last until end of summer. Then he will continue to plant the marigolds and poinsettias in the fall and early winter as he has done in the past.

Welcome: Joan had nothing to report.

Newsletter: Jim will include opinion poll results, 417 Task Force update, and current news from the WS Citizens Advisory meeting. Tom will attend October meeting concerning gangs in Winter Springs. Joan suggested a front page article outlining the importance of the Homeowners Dues. The article would explain the distribution of funds and why it is so crucial to have everyone participate. Bruce suggested possibly thanking the people who do pay their dues.

SR 417 Task Force: Bruce reported the status of the sound barrier wall and will attach a summary of his report. Next meeting of the task force will be September 30th in the Food Court of the Oviedo Marketplace. The public is welcome.

Actions: Susan will buy new overhang sign for the N entrance. Joan will book the Oviedo library for the Annual Meeting in February. Sue will ask John for amount of price reduction for planting.

Mass Email: Joan suggested mass emails should be important and time sensitive. Call her if necessary for a critical email to be sent for time efficiency.
