Board of Directors Meeting

Meeting Minutes
Members Present: Luis Rios, Bruce Lieske, Joan Grodski, Susan Mueller, Pat Stanforth, and Chris Waguespack.
Members Absent: Ron Schroeder, Sue Beveridge, Ray Biechele, and Jim Mathews (newsletter editor).
The meeting was held at Luis’s house, 642 Saranac Dr.
Luis called the meeting to order at 8:10 PM.
Meeting Minutes: Pat presented the previous meeting minutes. They were approved without comment.
Treasurer’s Report: Sue sent a note. The City never connected the water meter in the Chelsea Pond area. They recently realized their mistake and have corrected it. This means that the water bill now runs about $35 more per month.
Deed Restrictions: A fence was approved.
Welcome Committee: Four homes have sold including one that had been in disarray. Joan and Susan M. will visit the new owners when they move in.
SR 417 Task Force: Bruce stated that they have created questions to ask at the meeting coming up on Sept. 17th. They will distribute a printed note to each home informing each resident of the meeting with Mr. Pinzon of the Expressway Authority.
Fall Fest: This event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27th at Vernon Conner’s house at 669 Oneida. Luis spoke with the Conners and confirmed that they are still willing to the host the event and that the date is fine with them.
Luis: will order some Port-o-Potties
Susan M: will make a flyer to be inserted into the next newsletter
Joan: will order the food from Blackwater BBQ – chicken and pork
Susan M: will go to Costco/Sam’s closer to the date and purchase necessary items such as water bottles, trash bags, plates and plastic forks and knives.
Chris: volunteered to be the contact person in the mass email in case anyone from the neighborhood volunteers to help.
Halloween Parade: Pat talked to Carrie Owji and Carrie will host the party at the end of the parade again. Ray agreed to donate funds to buy the food. Pat will call for the police escort. Luis will lead the parade. Pat will help Carrie with the food.
Email News Update: Pat will send out an email to the general membership in the next several days. The email will contain information about the upcoming SR 417 meeting with Mr. Pinzon; the Halloween Parade, and Fall Fest.
Newsletter: As Jim is still out of town, it was decided to not send out a newsletter the beginning of September. We’d like a newsletter after the Pinzon/SR 417 meeting to report on what has happened. The newsletter should also include more information on the Fall Fest and Halloween Parade. The new decorative street light installation should be mentioned as well. The Fall Fest reservation form should be included as insert in the newsletter.
The next meeting was schedule for October 10th at Oviedo Mall Food Court at 7:00 pm.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 PM.
