Meeting Minutes


Members Present: Jim M., Chris W., Bruce L., Wally W., Susan B., Scott H., Matt G., Kim C.,

Members Absent: John S. Tom K.

The meeting was held at Sue Beveridge’s house. Chris W. called the meeting to order at 7:14 p.m

Meeting Minutes: Correction as to Sue B.’s name under New Business; Motion to approve by Wally W, seconded by Bruce L, approved without objection.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Beautification/Maintenance: Wally discussed City fund supporting installation of trees in easements appears to have no renewed funding, but the Arbor Fund generated by tree cutting permits may be available in connection with “Concepts in Greenery” which offers 50% discount. Wally will visit Concepts to learn more, and board will consider whether to contact homeowners without trees between sidewalk and road, to see if they are interested in participating in installation/maintenance. Regarding electrical, etc. at North entrance, Chris W has spoken with John Holmes and is coordinating with electrician, and ask John to cost out the new breaker, wiring, lights.

Treasurer’s Report: report by Sue B. Current balance $12,099.06.

Welcome: report by Kim C. 6 new Homeowners for the year have received welcome packages. Discussion on additional welcome basket gifts, including possibly live plant, discount on membership dues, etc.

Newsletter: Chris reports that we are still in need of someone to take over as editor; individual previously interested is unavailable. Consider e-mail to seek editor, possibly talk with area schools regarding students interested in editing for experience. Kim indicates certain new homeowners who may be interested. Kim will contact them to see.

Deed Restrictions; Scott indicates no new contact from homeowner regarding fence restrictions at home on Cayuga, will follow-up with homeowner to see if anything further is needed. Discussion of concerned homeowner at 1777 Seneca regarding sprinkler lines, potential fence line encroachment from neighbor. HOA to communicate that it has no responsibility or authority with regard to title or boundary matters between neighbors.

417 Task Force: Bruce indicates nothing new to report.

Parade/Halloween: Parade scheduled for Saturday October 31 at 4:45pm. E-mail and signs to go up October 16. Kim C will talk with ay and offer to share or take over sponsorship and invite the previous hosts to participate as well. Kim to arrange police support for parade.

Action Items/Other New Business:

Annual Meeting: discussion of Mid-February on a Tuesday. Kim C. will check with WSPD regarding use of the new substation meeting room. Sue to call and reserve Library room as well.

Next meeting planned for November 10, 2009 at Sue B.’s house.
