Meeting Minutes
January 2011 board of Directors meeting
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by the President, Chris Waguespack.
Members present: Chris Waguespack, Wally White, Tom Kravets, Scott Harden, John Stoudt, Kim Coburn, Bruce Lieske and Sue Beveridge.
The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and minor changes recommended. Tom Kravets mad a motion to accept the minutes and Sue Beveridge seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED
The Treasurers report was given by Sue. We have $18,800.71 in the bank and one hundred twenty two paid members.
Committee Reports:
Kim, welcome: the resident at 1756 complained of missing newspapers. Tom suggested she contact the residents at 1750 as their dog is trained to bring in the paper and is diligent in performing his tasks.
John, deeds, nothing. Tom mentioned a cab inet making business at 1749 Seneca. It was reported to Code Enforcement and since he has an occupation license, it is legal.
The Annual Meeting was discussed.
It will be on February 8 at the Library. Doors open at 1800, meeting opens at 1815
Chris will give an overview of the Associations condition since last year’s meeting and the various directors may speak of their areas of oversight.
We need at least 25 proxies from paid up members to assure a quorum for the annual meeting and it was suggested that each board member try to get at least 2 proxies.
Kim volunteered to get the water, cookies and napkins for the annual meeting.
Candidates of the board are Luis Rios and Jennifer Hoffman plus any nominations from the floor.
John and Bruce will roll off of the Board and Wally and Tom will remain.
A discussion concerning the Christmas Wreaths utilized on the south entrance be used on the north entrance and larger wreaths obtained for the south.
The beautification efforts continue on the north entrance pond. Wally mentioned the bench as been vandalized again and he will investigate obtaining a cement bench.
We also need to replenish mulch as well as tend to some shrubbery. Bruce made a motion that we do these items as well as the cement bench and spend up to $1100 to accomplish these projects. John seconded and the MOTION CARRIED
Sue mentioned that only 38 persons requested hard copies of the newsletter.
The problem with the two dogs running loose in the neighborhood is still without resolution.
The date for the March 2011 meeting is the 15th.
Motion to close the meeting was made by Sue and Wally seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED
